Who owns the molds and the files?
You do. Molds, tooling and design files are in your name by contract, tagged and photographed; they can be transferred to another factory.
How long for a first prototype?
Usually 2 to 4 weeks after the specification is approved, depending on complexity and processes (3D printing, machining, silicone).
Do you start from an existing product?
Yes: in ODM, we customize a proven manufacturer's product (functions, materials, colors, packaging), with territorial exclusivity negotiated.
What budget should we plan for?
It depends mostly on the molds. We cost each route (OEM, ODM, private label) from the scoping stage, including tooling cost and landed unit price.
