Why no margin on the factory price?
Because we represent your interests in dealings with the factory: our fees come from you alone. You have access to supplier invoices.
Are inspections included?
Yes, standard AQL inspections are included in the full end-to-end service. Outside that service, an inspection costs $310 excl. tax per man-day.
Is there a minimum?
$16,500 in annual purchases for the full end-to-end service. One-off assignments have no minimum.
Are factory visits billed?
Yes, at a day rate, plus your travel expenses at cost — and the day rate is deducted from your fees if you then entrust us with the sourcing.
How are payments to factories handled?
NOVASEA Hong Kong pays your suppliers on your behalf: a single invoice, in EUR, USD, GBP or HKD. Usually 30% deposit on order and 70% after accepted pre-shipment inspection; the factory price is re-invoiced at cost, with no margin, backed by supplier invoices.
FOB, CIF, DDP: the Incoterm changes your landed cost.
